This ultra-tall stand features square foot castings to allow upright storage of the stand when collapsed. Developed for flying Butterflies and Overheads on locations and supporting large backdrops in studios. This stand features a “Rocky Mountain” leg, which allows independent leveling adjustment of one leg on rough or uneven terrain.

Designed to support flying butterflies, overheads, and large backdrops, the steel-constructed chrome 

 from Matthews rises to a maximum height of 14′, has a minimum working height of 64″, and can handle gear weighing up to 88 lb. The four-section stand has a wide 60″ footprint for stability, and non-marking, braked, locking casters to make positioning and repositioning easy. The stand is topped by a 4.5″ grip head with 3/8″ and 5/8″ holes and employs a one 1/8″ Junior receiver for lights or other equipment with a matching pin.

These popular stands are available in many different configurations, lengths and finishes. The unique staggered leg design allows 

 to be nested and therefore be placed extremely close to one another on set. The lower leg can also be slid under many objects. The C+ offers a removable base for the risers, making disassembly for travel simple and easy without being cumbersome or having the awkwardness typical of other manufacturers. The sliding leg allows for use on stairs, off curbs and even as high as a desk or countertop.

Matthews Mini Slider Stand

 meets the demand for a strong, wide-based stand with a low working height for those using camera sliders and Speed Rail/Pipe Dolly Systems. Baby Ballhead Adapter, Magic Finger, and Stand/Spud Adapter are sold separately.

The Slider Stand comes standard with two rocky mountain legs for easy leveling on hills, mountainsides, rocky environments, stairs, and most other uneven terrains. As a comparison, the Slider Stand minimum working height measures one foot (30cm) lower than the standard low boy combo, giving the camera operator a POV range from hip to eye level. Multiple Slider stands may be required depending on the length and the weight of your slider/camera package. Stand Adapter converts the top of the stand to a 5/8″ baby pin.

 is (surprise!) a lighter, slightly shorter version of the Matthews Mombo light stand–if you want a stand that will support more than 80 lbs and reach over 17′, this is the one. The “Rocky Mountain leg” offsets uneven terrain to provide sturdy support under less-than-ideal circumstances. It’s perfect for large flags and butterflies, or heavy lighting fixtures.
