Our Policy & Operations Regarding COVID-19
We at Hand Held Films are committed to navigating the circumstances at hand with the utmost attention to your safety and comfort, and have implemented several new policies focused on protecting your productions and crew as the industry moves forward. In compliance with NYS regulations, we are not currently accepting walk in customers, as much of our staff is working remotely, but equipment and checkouts are fully available on an appointment basis. We are also offering self-contained camera and lighting drop kits for remote production, via pickup or delivery. Please feel free to reach out to our rental department as you would normally, and arrangements can be made.
All equipment and surfaces will continue to be sanitized and disinfected regularly according to CDC guidelines, especially directly before and after any rental activity. In addition, as we are keenly aware that the virus may live on non-organic surfaces for an extended period, we are taking the sensible precaution of quarantining any equipment upon return for a period of 4 days, to mitigate any risk. We understand that the science and opinions of medical experts can change over time, and we monitor this information regularly, and adjust accordingly.
We take social distancing and proper hygiene very seriously as means to combat the spread, and intend to observe local guidelines with an abundance of caution. Employees wear masks, and we ask that you do the same while interacting with any of our staff, so we may all remain confident in our safety on the job. Hand sanitizer is available and encouraged at various stations spread across the shop.
